workshops

Drama workshops that are specifically designed with Home Educated children in mind. As you'd expect from us, these workshops are refreshingly different

We're excited to be able to offer some special workshops for the Home Ed community. These workshops are intended as a longer learning journey, rather than a single one-off session.

Our drama workshops for children develop skills that will benefit them for life. With over 33 years of experience and a unique approach, you'll find that we're different to other workshops on offer. We know just what to do to bring out the best in everyone.

Our workshops are creative, inclusive, exciting and reassuringly affordable. The sessions include improvisation, role-play, movement and drama games that fuel the imagination. All children need to bring with them is enthusiasm. It doesn't matter if they've never acted; we all have to start somewhere.

Children will make new friends, work as part of a team, improve concentration, and develop social and communication skills.

Drama workshops are a fantastic way to stretch the imagination. They are a careful balance of creating a safe place that incorporates challenge, structure and freedom, helping children grow in confidence and supporting their emotional and mental health. Children rise to challenges and become more independent and self-assured, all in the company of other Home Educated children.

Numbers are kept small at each session to ensure individual attention from our experienced crew members - hand-picked for their warmth, energy and personality. And with a low child-to-crew member ratio, we encourage and inspire, even the most anxious child, every step of the way.

Our crew members go through a rigorous recruitment process and are DBS-checked.

Whilst we don't encourage parents to stay in the room during workshops, there are two excellent cafes (Dylan's Ice Cream and The Lion's Den) nearby, so you won't be far away. There's a break-out space for those taking part if some quieter time is needed.
