Smoking, Drugs and Alcohol Policy
Smoking

Policy: Smoking is prohibited on all premises, including outdoor areas.

Applies to: Crew members, individuals collecting children, and any visitors.

Child Possession: If a child is found with cigarettes, they will be confiscated, and the parent/carer will be informed at the end of the session.

Alcohol

Policy:

No one under the influence of alcohol is permitted on the premises.

Crew members must not bring alcohol onto the premises.

Enforcement:

Individuals under the influence will be asked to leave immediately.

Disciplinary actions will follow if the individual is a crew member.

If a child is found with alcohol, it will be confiscated, and the parent/carer will be notified at the end of the session.

Drugs

Policy:

No one under the influence of illegal drugs is permitted on the premises.

Enforcement:

Individuals under the influence will be asked to leave immediately.

Disciplinary actions will follow if the individual is a crew member.

If a child is found with illegal drugs, they will be confiscated, and the parent/carer will be notified.

Crew members taking prescription drugs that may affect their ability to function must inform management and seek medical advice. A risk assessment will be conducted. Medication must be stored securely and out of children's reach.

Safeguarding Children

Duty of Care: All crew members must report to the designated Child Protection Officer (CPO) if they suspect a parent/carer is under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs and poses a threat to a child's safety.

Preventive Measures:

Crew members will prevent the child from traveling in a vehicle driven by an impaired parent/carer.

Police will be called if necessary.
