What is the Moonstruck Matinee?
The Moonstruck Matinee is full day of MIM fun.
Over the coming weeks, each group will create and develop their work in our weekly workshops, before bringing it all together for this shared performance.
On the day, performers rehearse together in the morning, families join us for a relaxed picnic lunch and then we all head inside to enjoy the performance.
It’s social, it’s celebratory, and it’s a brilliant way to mark the end of the year together.
Who’s involved?
This year’s Moonstruck Matinee brings together:
-
Haslemere Discover
-
Guildford South, Guildford North and Haslemere Explore
-
Youth Theatre
-
Guildford South, Guildford North and Woking Moonlights
-
Home Ed Workshops
A really special MIM day of Celebration
This isn’t just an end-of-term performance.
It’s a chance to bring the whole MIM family together, celebrate the year
and share something special with the people who support it.
We’re so excited to bring Moonstruck back and to share it with you.
What to wear
Everyone should wear:
-
Plain black clothing (top and bottoms)
-
Sensible footwear
We’ll provide any additional costume on the day.
Food and drink
You’re very welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy lunch together on the grounds.
We’ll also have:
-
Drinks and snacks
-
A bar
-
Cream teas
So if you’d rather travel light, you’ll still be well looked after.
Please note: Parents/carers should return at 1pm to join their child for lunch. We are not able to supervise children during the picnic period.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now and must be booked online in advance.
We expect this to be a popular event, so we’d recommend booking early to avoid missing out.
Family and friends are very welcome to join us and enjoy the performance together.
Younger children are welcome, but they do need to be able to sit and watch.
If needed, we may ask families to step outside to keep the experience enjoyable for everyone.
A quick note
Moonstruck Matinee is a shared performance and every group relies on each other.
The only additional commitment beyond regular workshops is being available on Saturday 4 July. If a participant is unable to attend on the day, they won’t be able to take part in the performance.
There’s something really special about having every group in the same space,
sharing the same stage, on the same day.
